VDOT Highway Alerts for the week of October 12th - 19th, 2018

VDOT Highway Alert

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Richmond District has released its forecast of road construction/closures that could cause delays from October 12 - 19, 2018.

Six projects are planned that will impact travel in and to Goochland County.  The full list of projects including other localities is available via the link below.

Goochland County will waive residents’ fees for brush disposal at both the Central and Western Convenience Centers through Friday, October 19th, to give residents time to cleanup and recover from Tropical Storm Michael.

VDOT Pipe Replacement to Close Shallow Well Road in Goochland

VDOT Highway Alert

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Shallow Well Road (Route 641) near Dover Road in Goochland County for a pipe replacement project from 8 a.m. October 15 to 3:30 p.m. October 16, weather permitting.

During work, drivers should follow the posted detour routes:
