As a part of the Ashland Rd Interchange analysis, it was recommended to move and upgrade the Park and Ride lot to accommodate the new interchange design. This was originally part of the Interchange project but was pulled from the scope due to cost. VDOT took this project on due to the clear need of a new Park and Ride lot when the Interchange is redesigned. This will double the size of the Park and Ride lot today and provide lighting, potential Bus stop access, and road access to the adjacent property.
