Route 288 Southbound Hard Shoulder Running Lane

About

A Hard Shoulder Running (HSR) Lane, also known as Part Time Shoulder Use (PTSU) Lane, allows traffic to use the shoulder as a travel lane during peak travel times. This project is proposed from West Creek Pkwy to Route 711 in Powhatan along Route 288. This will relieve some of the congestion felt by motorists on Route 288. This project was recommended out of the Route 288 STARS Study conducted in 2018.
