Rockville Rd Improvements
About Goochland is working with VDOT to analyze the existing Rockville Rd corridor and make any necessary improvements, including but not limited to a full realignment of Rockville Rd. This analysis will build off of the Safety Study completed in January 2025.
As we look forward, a full realignment of Rockville Rd is considered to be a part of the County's Comprehensive Plan. A realignment of Rockville Rd to meet with Three Chopt Rd would create a four-legged intersection. The County's Comp Plan also contemplates a future traffic signal at this location.
As this project progresses, there will be opportunities for public engagement. These could include public surveys and community information meetings. Any public engagement will be shared through the County's website and Social Media platforms.
