Central Virginia Waste Management Authority is experiencing a two to three day delay in residential curbside recycling pickup as a result driver shortages.
Goochland's Red Friday (January 14th) recycling pickup will now occur on Wednesday, January 19th.

The Goochland County Board of Supervisors Annual Organizational and Regular Board Meeting on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 2 p.m.

Goochland County is excited to announce new expanded Sunday hours at the county’s two Convenience Centers beginning in January 2022.
Both the Central and Western Convenience Centers will be open on Sundays from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. beginning Sunday, January 2, 2022.

On Friday, December 17, 2021, Goochland County released Goochland’s Proposed Redistricting Map that proposes revisions to the boundaries of the county’s five election districts to ensure equal representation for county voters in future elections.
As citizens may know, the county’s current election districts were created after the 2010 US Census and the proposed revisions are to accommodate the county’s population growth based on the data from the 2020 US Census.

Governor Ralph Northam on Monday announced the award of a $79 million grant to Firefly Fiber Broadband, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative, and its partner Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC).

The Goochland County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously today to appoint Manuel “Manny” Alvarez, Jr. as Goochland’s Interim County Administrator.
