Everyone in Virginia Age 12 or Older is Eligible for the COVID-19 Vaccine. Below are local and regional opportunities to get vaccinated including pop-up community opportunities. Please check back for new updates.
Vaccine Clinic Opportunities
Reynolds Community College – Goochland Campus – October 28 (3 PM – 6 PM)
The Chickahominy Health District will hold a FREE COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Thursday, October 28th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Reynolds Community College – Goochland Campus located at 1851 Dickinson Road, Goochland, VA 23063. Schedule an appointment by completing their Community Vaccine Clinic Survey at https://forms.gle/jy7KKyYxeserMMCK7 or calling CHD’s COVID-19 Hotline at (804) 365-3240. No insurance needed.
COVID-19 Testing Available
Drive-up COVID-19 Testing will also be available during the Reynolds Vaccine Clinic for those who are in quarantine (having been a close contact to a positive case) or experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
Goochland Fall Festival – October 30 (12 PM – 4 PM)
The Chickahominy Health District will hold a FREE COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic on Saturday, October 30th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Goochland Fall Festival located at 1800 Sandy Hook Rd., Goochland, VA 23063. Walk ups welcomed, no appointments will be given. No insurance needed.
The vaccine clinics are open to adults and children ages 12 – 17, children will need a parent or guardian to accompany them. 1st and 2nd doses of all three vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson) will be offered as well as booster doses for those who are eligible.

For individuals who received either a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine a single booster is recommended at least six months after completion of their initial series for:
A single booster is recommended at least two months after completion of the Johnson & Johnson/Janssen vaccines for those 18 years of age and up.
The CDC also announced that there are now booster recommendations for all three available vaccines in the United States. Those individuals eligible for a booster vaccine may choose which vaccine to receive as their booster. Further guidance from the CDC in the coming days to help individuals understand these recommendations is expected.

Chickahominy Health District’s Goochland Health Department
Each of the Chickahominy Health District’s Four Health Departments are offering COVID-19 Vaccinations at their respective buildings on the following Dates and Times:
- Goochland Health Department: Every Tuesday, 1-3 p.m.
- Charles City Health Department: 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of every month, 1-3pm
- Hanover Health Department: Every Wednesday, 1-3 p.m.
- New Kent Health Department: 1st, 3rd, & 5th Wednesdays of every month, 1-3 p.m.
Appointments are required and can be set through the Chickahominy Health District’s Call Center at 804-365-3240.
Chickahominy Health District’s Home Vaccination Opportunity

In addition to getting vaccinated at the Goochland Health Department, residents can get vaccinated locally at Dawson’s Pharmacy or Goochland Pharmacy, both of which are located in the Courthouse Village. Appointments are required and can easily be scheduled via the phone numbers below.
