Community Needs Assessment

Goochland Community Action Agency Conducting Needs Assessment

The Goochland County Community Action Program (GCAP) is currently conducting a Needs Assessment to better understand how to support people in the community. This Needs Assessment, conducted every three years, plays a crucial role in guiding GCAP's efforts. Participants who complete the survey will be entered to win one of two $100 Food Lion gift cards.  Read more.
Thanksgiving Closures

County Office Thanksgiving Closures

Goochland County Offices and Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center will be closed from through Friday, November 29th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. Convenience Centers will resume normal hours on Friday, November 29th.

Firefly to Hold Virtual Town Hall for Residents in the RISE Three Square Service Area

Firefly Fiber Broadband is holding a Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, December 12th at 4 PM for the RISE Project Three Square service zone to learn more about Firefly, ask questions, and find out how you can sign up for service.  Firefly’s RISE Project Three Square service area includes Goochland residents served by Dominion Energy who live in the Three Square and Rock Castle area.  Read more.
