National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Goochland County Sheriff's Office and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public an opportunity to prevent pill abuse & theft during the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Read more.

Board of Supervisors Adopt Fiscal Year 2026 Budget

On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the Goochland County Board of Supervisors voted to adopt the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Budget, which begins on July 1, 2025. The adopted FY 2026 total County Budget of $148.5 million advances county priorities and maintains the real estate tax rate at $0.53 per $100 assessed value. Read more.

Economic Injury Disaster Loans Now Available for Businesses Impacted by January 2025 Severe Weather

Attention Goochland Businesses! On April 16, 2025, the Governor's Office announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has made Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) available to those impacted by the January 2025 severe winter storms that resulted in power and water outage and boil water advisories.
