Site Plan Notes

  1. Site Plan must be a survey plat or a site plan of the property, drawn to a standard engineering scale (1 inch = 10 feet, 20 feet, 30 feet, 40 feet, 50 feet, 60 feet, 100 feet, 200 feet). Note plan scale used in margin. If a plat is not recorded, please see the Zoning Department.
  2. Site plans must be drawn on white paper no larger than 11-inches-by-17-inches. Do not use graph paper.
  3.  Clearly indicate north arrow in margin.
  4. Include owner’s name in margin.
  5. Indicate Property Tax Map Number. This number is located on your property tax statement issued by the County Assessor.
  6. Show entire lot with lot line dimensions.
  7. Give name and width of adjacent public roads and location of right of-ways.
  8. Show the dimension from each property line to the proposed building including steps, porches, decks and overhang (anything that is attached to the house/building). Property owner must identify property lines.
  9. Show location and width of private roads and access plus utility and drainage easements adjacent to or crossing parcel, with boundaries indicated by dashed lines.
  10. Show any existing structures on the property (building, shed, mobile home etc.). Show location of driveways, parking areas, sidewalks and patios. Label previously existing structures, driveways, etc. as existing; label all proposed development proposed.
  11. Show and label proposed and existing septic tanks, wells, drain fields & reserve area, with setbacks to property lines and structures.
  12. Location of underground storage tanks or vaults.
  13. Location of all bodies of water, springs, wetlands, flood zones, etc.
  14. Stake proposed structures on site, prior to the required setback inspection.
