[ARCHIVED] Water System Maintenance

Water Outage 2.14.24 (1)

On Wednesday, February 14^th, from approximately 10pm to 3am, Goochland County’s Department of Public Utilities (DPU) and their contractor will be conducting important maintenance work to a portion of the River Road water system near St. Mary’s Church (12291 River Rd. Richmond, VA 23238). Because of this, there will be a brief water service outage for some customers along Dove Cove, Lower Tuckahoe Road East, River Road, and Wickham Glen Drive.

Once the maintenance items are completed, water service will be restored as quickly as possible. Though DPU personnel will flush the water system thoroughly upon completion of the work, if you notice cloudy or discolored water at your home once service is restored, we suggest running a faucet or bathtub for a few minutes until the water becomes clear.
