Courthouse Water System Line Repair Scheduled for March 19th

Goochland County Department of Public Utilities is planning to repair a water leak in the Goochland County Courthouse Water System on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, that was discovered on Gathright Drive near its intersection with River Road West.

Repair work will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025; water service is expected to be restored to affected customers by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Customers on the following streets in the Courthouse area should expect to be without public water service during the repair:

All of Gathright Drive
All of Pitts Drive
Scott Road, from Pitts Drive to Gathright.

These roads are shown on the map below with the yellow line identifying the affected streets.

Grace Episcopal Church at the corner of Scott Road and River Road West will not be affected by the repair. Likewise, customers along River Road West between Gathright Drive and Scott Road, including Goochland Cares, will also not be affected by the repair.

Department of Public Utilities has contacted customers in the impacted area to notify them of the outage, door-hanger notifications have also been distributed. Additionally, outage notification signs will be placed on Gathright Drive and Scott Road near their intersections with River Road West. Customers with questions or concerns should contact Department of Utilities staff at 804-556-5835.
