[ARCHIVED] Roadway improvements on Route 288 near Goochland and Powhatan Design Public Hearing

Rt. 288 Design Public Hearing - July 18 2024

Come see and hear from Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) about the proposed plans to improve Route 288, between Huguenot Trail (Route 711) and Patterson Avenue (Route 6), in the counties of Powhatan and Goochland. The purpose of this project is to utilize Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure and necessary pavement improvements to implement the use of Hard Shoulder Running (HSR) on Route 288 northbound. This project may involve a change and/or break in limited access control.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 5 to 7 p.m. at James River High School’s Closed Commons Room located at 3700 James River Road, Midlothian, VA 23113. In the event of inclement weather, this meeting will be held on July 23, 2024, at the same time and location.

The meeting will be held in an open house format from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This format will provide the flexibility to allow participants to meet and discuss the proposed project directly with project staff members.
