Find out about proposed improvements at the Route 623 (Ashland Road) interchange with Interstate 64 in Goochland County. The project scope includes converting the existing interchange into a four-lane diverging diamond interchange, relocating the Bennington Road and Ashland Road intersection, and relocating the Hickory Haven Park and Ride lot. The project improvements include widening Ashland Road, new bridge construction, rehabilitation of the existing bridge, widening and reconstruction of four ramps, drainage, stormwater management, traffic signals and lighting. This project will also involve a change and/or break in limited access control.

Review information, project plans regarding the proposed modification, and the National Environmental Policy Act document in the form of a Categorical Exclusion at Salem Baptist Church, 465 Broad Street Rd, Manakin Sabot, VA 23103. The plans and Categorial Exclusion can also be reviewed at the VDOT Richmond District Office, 2430 Pine Forest Drive, South Chesterfield, VA 23834-9002. Please call ahead to assure project staff will be available to answer your questions.

The meeting will be held in an open house format from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This format will provide the flexibility to allow participants to meet and discuss the proposed project directly with project staff members.
