[ARCHIVED] Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services to Host Community Blood Drive

Earlier this year, Goochland County Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services launched a Whole Blood Program through partnership with Chesterfield Fire and EMS, Virginia State Police EMS Med-Flight 1, and Inova Blood Donor Services.  

To help support this program, Goochland County Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services has announced their first blood drive in partnership with Inova Blood Donor Services. The blood drive will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, from noon to 5pm at the Goochland Sports Complex, located at 1800 Sandy Hook Road. 

“Blood is the gift of life, the simple act of giving blood can make a huge impact,” said Chief Eddie Ferguson, Goochland County Department of Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services. “We are proud to work with Inova Blood Services to collect blood that will directly serve our community.”  

All eligible donors are encouraged to participate. Appointments are highly recommended and can be made online at https://www.inovabloodsaves.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/35512.
