Goochland County Fire-Rescue and Goochland County Sheriff’s Office along with regional and state partners respond to the western end of the county for an individual trapped in a well.
On Sunday, May 31st at approximately 1504 hours, Goochland County Fire-Rescue units responded to the western end of the county for an individual trapped in a well. The individual had been working on the well due to a water issue at the residence. While working on the well, the individual lost their footing on the ladder and fell down to the water level. The individual attempted to climb out of the well but could not do so.

Initial arriving units made contact with the individual and stabilized the situation. Henrico County Division of Fire’s Technical Rescue team and a Battalion Chief responded to assist Goochland County Fire-Rescue units. Utilizing Ladder Truck 605 and various resources on scene, the individual was lifted safely out of the well.
