[ARCHIVED] Annual Testing of Dry Hydrants in the County to Begin on May 1st

Goochland County - Fire-Rescues Annual Testing of Dry Hydrants Begins May 1st

Goochland County Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services will begin their annual testing and preventative maintenance program for dry hydrants on May 1, 2022.

Dry hydrants in ponds, lakes, and streams throughout the county are a relied upon means of rural water supply to support fire suppression.

Fire Rescue - Rural Water Supply - Dry Hydrant

Trident Mobile Service, LLC will perform the testing, preventive maintenance, and inspections this year.   You will see them throughout the county over the next couple months. 

Goochland County Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services is contacting homeowners and property owners to notify them of the upcoming inspections.  They anticipate completing the dry hydrant testing by early summer.   Kirsten Martin with Goochland County Fire-Rescue and Emergency Services is coordinating this year’s inspections and may be contacted at 804-556-5366 or  kmartin@goochlandva.us if there are any questions or concerns.
