The Virginia Cooperative Extension – Goochland Office will host a well water testing program in October in association with the Virginia Household Water Quality Program. The Virginia Household Water Quality Program aims to improve the water quality and health of Virginians with wells, springs and cisterns. They provide affordable water testing, help with interpreting their water test results, and provide information about addressing problems.

Sample kits need to be picked up on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, and will need to be returned on the morning of Wednesday, October 16, 2024, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.  A follow-up meeting will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. to provide confidential test results, an explanation of the numbers, and information on how to handle any problems found. The cost is $70.00 per sample kit and should be paid at the time of registration.
