Beginning Friday, May 2, 2025, you can cast your ballot for the 2025 June Primary Election by visiting Goochland County’s Office of the General Registrar located at 1876 Sandy Hook Rd, Goochland, VA 23063.

The Office of the General Registrar will be open for early voting during normal office hours, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. continuing until Friday, June 13. There will also be special hours on Sunday, May 4 from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. and on Saturday, June 7, and Saturday, June 14 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Early voting will not be available on Monday, May 26, 2025, as the Registrar’s office and all County offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Dedicated parking for voters 65 or older and voters with disabilities is in front of the Office of the General Registrar’s building.   The dedicated parking is accessible from the Sandy Hook Road (Route 522) entrance behind the County Administration Building. 

Important Reminders

To request an Absentee Ballot, please visit www.goochlandva.us/vote or https://vote.elections.virginia.gov/VoterInformation.  The last day to request an Absentee Ballot to be sent to you is June 6. Applications to request an Absentee Ballot can be returned in person at the Office of the General Registrar located at 1876 Sandy Hook Rd, Goochland, VA 23063, by mail to the General Registrar at PO Box 1013, Goochland, VA 23063, by fax to 804-556-6323, or by email to vote@goochlandva.us. 

Your completed ballot can be returned by mail to PO Box 1013, Goochland, VA, 23063.  Ballots can be returned during normal business hours to designated drop-off locations at the office of the General Registrar. Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Office of the General Registrar, or post marked by, June 17, 2025.

Drop-off locations will also be available at all polling places on Election Day. Please visit the District Information page at www.goochlandva.us/vote for a list of those addresses. 

The deadline to register to vote or update an existing registration for the 2025 June Primary Election is May 27.  The 2025 June Primary Election will occur on June 17, 2025, with all precincts open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
