[ARCHIVED] Community Alert! Columbia Gas of VA to Conduct a Controlled Flaring in the Mosaic Subdivision

Goochland Community Alert! The County has been notified that Columbia Gas of VA will be doing a natural gas flaring operation on Cerulean Place in the Mosaic subdivision in eastern Goochland between now and midnight on Tuesday, February 20th.

Wednesday, February 21st, 2024 UPDATE

Columbia Gas of Virginia has notified the County that they will be continuing the natural gas flaring operation on Cerulean Place in the Mosaic subdivision through this morning, Wednesday, February 21st. Please stay tuned for any future updates.

This is a controlled process that involves burning off the gas in the line and the community can expect to see a 15 ft. flame in the air. This is a safe process and there is no community cause for alarm.
