GiveADayRVA_Banner_Images_Final_828x315_JoinUs

Goochland County is participating in Give A Day RVA, the Richmond region's largest day of service on Saturday, September 23rd. Over 1,300 volunteer opportunities are available at more than 55 different sites.

A wide range of service projects are open to members of the community to better the region by helping local nonprofit organizations, schools, and parks. In addition to projects hosted by local nonprofits and community organizations, for the first time ever projects will be hosted by each of the following localities: The City of Richmond and the Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, and Powhatan. Volunteers will be painting, cleaning, landscaping, and much more throughout our region. Join us and together we can help to make a better RVA.

Find the project that sparks your interest and sign up at: www.handsonrva.org/giveadayrva.  In Goochland County consider signing up for "Tucker Park Enhancements", a project that will help to improve Goochland's Tucker Park at Maidens Crossing.

Please feel free to share this BIG opportunity with your network. Volunteers can sign up as individuals, or can sign up as teams to volunteer together. Many of the projects are family friendly!
