The Goochland County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 to elect District 5 Supervisor Ken Peterson as chairman and District 2 Supervisor Manuel Alvarez, Jr. as vice-chairman for 2018.
Peterson is serving as the board’s chairman for the second time. He most recently held the post in 2013. He succeeds District 3 Supervisor Ned S. Creasey in the position.
"It is an honor and a pleasure to serve the citizens of Goochland County as Chair of the county board of supervisors. I want to thank Supervisor Creasey for his outstanding leadership last year,” remarked Chairman Ken Peterson. “We are fortunate to have a leadership team in Goochland with a shared vision that operates in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect. I look forward to working together with the entire county team as we build on the success achieved in recent years."

Goochland’s Board of Supervisors regularly meets at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Additional budget related meetings and public hearings are scheduled in the months of February through April.
