VDOT Highway Alert

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Richmond District has released its forecast of road construction/closures that could cause delays from May 25 - June 1, 2018.


One project is planned within Goochland County, the full list including other localities is available via the link below.


Manakin Rd. (Rt. 621) between Three Chopt Rd. and Hermitage Rd. - Utility Work - May 29
There will be alternating lanes closed on Manakin Rd. (Rt. 621) between Three Chopt Rd. and Hermitage Rd. from noon - 4 p.m. on May 29 for utility work.
  

Manakin Rd. (Rt. 621) between Three Chopt Rd. and Hermitage Rd. - Utility Work - May 30 - June 1
There will be alternating lanes closed on Manakin Rd. (Rt. 621) between Three Chopt Rd. and Hermitage Rd. from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. May 30 - June1 for utility work.
 

Memorial Day Weekend - Construction and Maintenance
To reduce congestion and add lane capacity, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will suspend most highway construction and maintenance work zones on interstates and other roads over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Lane closures will be lifted from noon Friday, May 25, 2018, to noon Tuesday, May 29, 2018.
