Construction
for the Phase 2 portion of the County Administration Building Complex Parking Lot project is
expected to begin on Monday, August 20th and will last approximately 60 to 90
days. The area impacted is behind the current Extension Building as well
as several parking spaces located immediately to the front of the Extension
Building. Below is a map highlighting the layout and look of the project
as well as the location to be impacted.

Phase I of the project, which occurred from August 9th to December 1st, 2017, redesigned and expanded the front main parking lot for the Administration Building Complex..
Phase 2
should have very little impact to current parking at the complex, never the less, employees
and citizens are advised to be aware of potential impacts to entering and
exiting the rear portion of the Administration Building complex. Impacts
are anticipated to be intermittent throughout construction.
"We thank employees for their understanding and patience during this project," said Derek Stamey, Deputy County Administrator for Operations. "Once complete the expansion will provide greater capacity for customers and employees to access county offices, especially during high-traffic periods."
As the project progresses, updates will be shared via the county’s website www.goochlandva.us, social media channels, and through local media.
