[ARCHIVED] DAYTIME CLOSURES ON BLAIR ROAD IN GOOCHLAND FOR PIPE REPLACEMENT

Beginning Monday, March 28, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Blair Rd. (Rt. 649) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to through traffic for work to replace several pipes, weather permitting.

Beginning Monday, March 28, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will close Blair Rd. (Rt. 649) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to through traffic for work to replace several pipes, weather permitting. The work is expected to be complete by Friday, April 1. The road will reopen each day at 5 p.m. for overnight travel.

Drivers can use the posted detour during the daytime closures:

• Northbound Blair Rd. (Rt. 649): Take Patterson Avenue (Rt. 6) west to Pagebrook Dr. (Rt. 647) south to River Rd. (Rt. 650) east back to Blair Rd. (Rt. 649) north.
• Southbound Blair Rd. (Rt. 649): Take River Rd. (Rt. 650) west to Pagebrook Dr. (Rt. 647) north to Patterson Avenue (Rt. 6) east back to Blair Rd. (Rt. 649) south.
