The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) Richmond District has released its forecast of road construction/closures that could cause delays from July 26 - August 2, 2019.
Five projects are planned that will impact travel in and to Goochland County. The full list of projects including other localities is available via the link below.
I-64 west between mms 169-171 - Guardrail repairs - July 28
The left lane will be closed on I-64 west between mile markers 169-171 from 9 p.m. - 5 a.m. July 28 for guardrail repairs.
Route 288 north at Broad St. - Paving - July 29
The right lane will be closed on Route 288 north at Broad St. from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. July 29 for paving.
Maidens Rd. (Rt. 634) over Courthouse Creek - Bridge work - Starting July 29 Through fall 2019
Maidens Rd. (Rt. 634) will be closed over Courthouse Creek continuously starting July 29 through fall 2019 for bridge work. Use posted detour route. More: http://bit.ly/2jHJXZO
Maidens Rd. (Rt. 522) between the Powhatan County line and River Rd. W. - Pavement marking - July 30
There will be alternating lanes closed on Maidens Rd. (Rt. 522) between the Powhatan County line and River Rd. W. from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. July 30 for pavement marking.
River Rd. W. (Rt. 6) between Sandy Hook Rd. and Alice Run - Pavement marking - July 30
There will be alternating lanes closed on River Rd. W. (Rt. 6) between Sandy Hook Rd. and Alice Run from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. July 30 for pavement marking.
