The Goochland Sports Complex and Central High Cultural and Educational Complex will be open to the public starting on Monday, June 8th. Operating hours will be 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. When entering the facility, guest will need to sign in at the front desk with their intended destination. As building capacity is limited, guests are asked to adhere to the time limits listed below for specific use of amenities.
For the Goochland Sports Complex (1800 Sandy Hook Road, Goochland, VA 23063):
The cardio room will be open with limited capacity. Cardio room users are asked to utilize a 30 minute time slot when using the cardio room with a maximum of 4 users of equipment in order to maintain social distancing. The weight room is currently closed for renovations and upgrades. The Gymnasium will be open with the following scheduled uses:
9:00 am - 12:30 pm is scheduled for Pickleball with the following guidelines and requirements - two courts open at a time and socially distanced waiting area will be available.
1:00 pm - 4:30 pm is scheduled for Basketball with the following guidelines and requirements - users will be limited to a 30-minute timeslot and must bring their own ball. Pick up games are not allowed at this time and all users of the facility must adhere to the 10 foot social distancing guidelines for athletic activities.
Parks and Recreation staff will track users entering the facility and once 50 users is reached, access to the building will be capped. As users of the facility exit, staff members will allow new users to enter.
For the Central High Cultural and Educational Complex (2748 Dogtown Road, Goochland, VA 23063):
Rooms will be available for rental. Wi-Fi will be available for access from the parking lot. Tucker’s Time programs will be available by reservation only. At this time the gymnasium will remain closed for general public use with all scheduled gym related activities scheduled at the Sports Complex.
For general Parks and Recreation outdoor facility use:
All amenities are now open to the public. Picnic Shelters are open, however, reservations are not being accepted. Youth leagues will be able to resume play on park fields in accordance with Governor’s Phase 2 guidelines.
