Jamie oversees the Department of Community Development including planning and zoning, building inspections and environmental land development. She served as Assistant Director of Community Development for the past 1 ½ years.
“With over 20 years of experience in planning and zoning, as well as specialized leadership and emergency management training, I am confident that Jamie will be a great asset and leader for the department and the organization for years to come,” remarked County Administrator Kenny Young.
Jamie holds a Master’s degree in Regional and Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Certified Zoning Administrator. Prior to her employment with Goochland County, she served as Principal Planner/ Zoning Administrator for Dinwiddie County, City Planner for the City of Colonial Heights, and County Planner for Henrico County. Jamie is also a member of the Virginia Association of Zoning Officials and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
