The public can rid their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs by bringing them for disposal to Fire-Rescue Station #1 – Manakin and Fire-Rescue Station #5 – Goochland. Goochland County, the Goochland County Sheriff's Office, and the Rural Substance Abuse Awareness Coalition (RSAAC) urge the public to bring your pills for disposal to the locations below between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 30th.
During this opportunity, the DEA cannot accept liquids, needles, or sharps, only pills or patches. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
