Goochland County Board of Supervisors - District 4 - Charlie Vaughters2

On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Mr. Vaughters was appointed Interim Supervisor for District 4, filling a vacancy created due to the untimely death of Supervisor Donald E. “Don” Sharpe on September 17, 2022.

The Board was required by state law to appoint a qualified voter of District 4 by November 1, 2022 to fill the vacancy until the next election on November 7, 2023.   After advertisement of the opportunity and a very deliberative selection process, the Board selected Charles B. Vaughters to serve in the capacity of Interim Supervisor.

“We are thankful for Mr. Vaughters’ willingness to step up and serve,” remarked Neil Spoonhower, Chairman of the Goochland County Board of Supervisors.   “He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and community service to the role and will be a welcome addition to the Board.”
